उमरखेड विधानसभा मतदार संघ महाविकास आघाडीत राष्ट्रवादीला न सुटल्यास आपण कुठल्याही परिस्थितीत अपक्ष निवडणूक लढणार असल्याचे आज आयोजीत पत्रकार परिषदेत शरद पवार राष्ट्रवादीचे जिल्हा सरचिटणीस दत्ता गंगासागर यांनी जाहीर केले .
सन 2016 ला शासकीय सेवेतून सेवानिवृत्त झाल्यानंतर समाजसेवेच्या जाणीवेने आपण शरद पवार यांच्या राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्षाची कास धरली व निष्ठेने पक्षाचे काम करीत आलो आहे .सन 2019 मध्ये पक्ष श्रेष्ठींकडे उमेदवारी मिळण्याबाबत आग्रह धरला होता परंतु महाविकास आघाडीमध्ये सदर जागा काँग्रेस पक्षाला सुटल्याने आपण पक्षादेश शिरसावंद्य मानून निवडणुकीत मविआच्या उमेदवाराच्या प्रचाराचे प्रामाणिकपणे काम केले .याही वेळेस उमरखेड महागाव विधानसभा मतदारसंघाची जागा ही महाविकास आघाडी करून काँग्रेस पक्षाला सुटली आहे .त्यामुळे कशाकडे आपला विचार होणार नाही हे लक्षात घेऊन आता वयाच्या 67 व्या वर्षी शेवटची संधी म्हणून अपक्ष उमेदवारी दाखल करण्यावर आपण ठाम निर्धार केला असून उमरखेड महागाव मतदारसंघातील एकंदरीत 300 बुथचे राष्ट्रवादी शरद पवार गटाचे कार्यकर्ते आपल्या सोबत राहतील असा विश्वास त्यांनी दर्शविला यावेळी त्यांचे समवेत महागाव तालुका राष्ट्रवादी शरद पवार पक्षाचे आबासाहेब देशमुख ,स्वाती पाचकोरे ,विलास पवार,सुशील राऊत यांची उपस्थिती होती .यावेळी अपक्ष उमेदवाराचा आम्ही प्रचार करणार नाही आम्ही पक्षा सोबत बांधील आहो ,असे आबासाहेब देशमुख यांनी पत्र परिषदेत पत्रकारांशी बोलताना समोरासमोर म्हटले त्यामुळे संभाव्य बंडखोरीचा इशारा यातून दिसून आला आहे .
