साखरा येथील प्रतिष्ठित नागरिक आपला जिन प्रेसचे माजी अध्यक्ष बाबाराव पाटील वानखेडे यांचे २२ डिसेंबर रोजी ८६ व्या वर्षी वृद्धापकाळाने निधन झाले त्यांच्यावर साखरा या गावी अंतिम संस्कार करण्यात आले यावेळी आमदार किसनराव वानखेडे ,माजी आमदार प्रकाश पाटील देवसरकर, विलासराव वानखेडे यांनी श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करून बाबाराव वानखेडे यांच्या जीवन कार्यावर प्रकाश टाकला यावेळी तालुक्यातील मंडळी मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होती बाबाराव वानखेडे यांच्या पश्चात सूदर्शन पाटील,अनिल पाटील, विठ्ठल पाटील ,सुनील पाटील ,परसराम पाटील, विश्वेश्वर पाटील ही मुले, दोन मुली, नातू नातवंडे असा मोठा आप्त परिवार आहे.
