स्थानिक नगर परिषद मार्फत आज दिनांक 14/10/2024 रोजी महागांव रोडवरील 30 वर्षापासुन कार्यरत असलेल्या उमरखेड नगर परिषदेच्या स्व. जेठमलजी माहेश्वरी खुले नाटयगृहाचे नुतनीकरण करुन लोकार्पण कार्यक्रत होत आहे. सध्यास्थितीत स्थानिक नगर परिषदवर स्थानिक लोकल बॉडी नसल्याने कोणताही कार्यक्रम हा शासकीय नियमानुसार होणे अपेक्षीत होते. मात्र सदर लोकार्पण कार्यक्रमाचे विनीत एका राजकीय पक्षाला फायदा व्हावा देण्यासाठी सदर लोकार्पण सोहळयाच्या निमंत्रण पत्रिकेमध्ये विनीत म्हणुन भारतीय जनता पार्टी उमरखेड असे नमुद करण्यात आले आहे. असे केल्यामुळे वरील शासकीय नियमाचा भंग केल्याचे निदर्शनास आले आहे. जनतेच्या वतीने आपणांस विनंती आहे की, भूमी पुजन व लोकार्पण होत असलेले खालील कामे
1) श्री. लाल बहादुर शास्त्री न.प. शाळेचे सुसज्य अशा इमारतीचा भूमी पूजन सोहळा
2) स्व. जेठमलजी माहेश्वरी खुले नाट्यगृहाचे कंपाऊंड वॉल व सुशोभीकरण काम पुर्ण झाल्यामुळे लोकार्पन सोहळा अशा वरील दोन्ही कामाचा निधी हा कोणत्याही राजकीय पक्षाचा खाजगी निधी नसुन हा निधी राज्यशासनाचा आहे. त्यामुळे सदर कार्यक्रमाचे विनीत भारतीय जनता पार्टी होऊ शकत नाही. मे. साहेबांना विनंती की, सदर कार्यक्रमास स्थगीती देण्यात यावी त्याचप्रमाणे सदर चुकीच्या भूमीपुजन व लोकार्पण सोहळयाला मुख्याधिकारी उमरखेड यांनी शासन नियमाला डावलून एका राजकीय पक्षाला फायदा व्हावा म्हणुन संमती दिल्यामुळे त्यांच्यावर उचीत ती कार्यवाही करण्यात यावी असे निवेदन देताना कांग्रेस चे शहर अध्यक्ष नंदू भाऊ अग्रवाल सोनू खतीब दत्तराव शिंदे अभय पवार गजानन देशमुख काँग्रेसचे पदाधिकारी उपस्थित होते.
