देशाचे क्रेंदीय ग्रहमंत्री अमित शहा यांनी लोकसभेत केलेल्या भारतरत्न डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या बाबत अपमानास्पद वक्तव्य केले होते. या बाबत कॉग्रेससह महाविकास आघाडीने निषेध नोंदवित, स्थानिक डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर चौकात गुरुवारी दुपारी 1 वाजता आंदोलन केले.
लोकसभेतील चर्चेदरम्यान देशाचे ग्रहमंत्री अमित शहा यांनी संविधान निर्माते भारतरत्न डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या बाबत अपमानास्पद वक्तव्य केले होते. यावरून संपूर्ण देशात व महाराष्ट्रात संतापाची लाट उसळली आहे. यावरून कॉग्रेससह महाविकास आघाडीने, आज गुरुवारी दुपारी 1 वाजता, स्थानिक डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या पुतळ्यासमोर, तीव्र नारेबाजी करीत आंदोलन केले. ह्या प्रकरणी उपविभागीय अधिकारी यांच्या मार्फत देशाचे राष्ट्रपती यांना निवेदन पाठविण्यात आले. यावेळी कॉग्रेस सह महाविकास आघाडीचे नेते तातू देशमुख, दत्तराव शिंदे, सतीश नाईक, गोपाल अग्रवाल, बाळासाहेब चंद्रे , अमोल तुपेकर, बाबुराव नरवाडे, प्रेम वानखेडे, बालाजी दुर्गमवार, कल्याणराव राणे, वासिफ पठाण, बाबू हिना, कुणाल श्रवले, वीरेंद्र खंदारे, गजानन देशमुख, सोनू खतीब, ईश्वर गोस्वामी, अक्षय गोस्वामी, संतोष नितळे, नामदेव मुरमुरे, राहुल काळबांडे, नितीन शिंदे, जुबेर कुरेशी, प्रभाकर गांजरे, मधुकर फटिंग आदी
