राजे छत्रपती संभाजी उद्यानासमोर असलेल्या नगरपरिषदेच्या चौपाटीतील लक्ष्मी भेळ भांडार या दुकानाला आज 1 ऑक्टोबरच्या सकाळी 8 वाजता अचानक आग लागली. काही वेळातच दुकानातील सर्व साहित्य जळून खाक झाले.
नागरिकांनी तातडीने अग्निशमन दलाला व दुकानमालक बालाजी कुंभारे यांना कळवले.अग्निशमन दलाने धाव घेत आग आटोक्यात आणली, त्यामुळे पुढील मोठा अनर्थ टळला. दुकानात दोन गॅस सिलेंडर असल्याने मोठा स्फोट होण्याची शक्यता होती. मात्र दलाच्या तत्परतेमुळे धोका टळला. या आगीत हजारों रुपयांचे नुकसान झाले असून शॉर्ट सर्किटमुळे आग लागल्याचे दिसून आले. पोलिस प्रशासनानेही घटनास्थळी हजेरी लावून परिस्थितीचा आढावा घेतला.
