केंद्र व राज्य सरकारच्या आडमुठ्या धोरणामुळे राज्यातील शेतकऱ्यांना व शेतमजुरांना मरण यातना भोगाव्या लागत आहे .महागाईच्या झळा जनतेला सोसाव्या लागत आहेत . उत्पादन कमी व खर्च जास्त त्यामुळे शेतकरी हैराण झाल्याने शेतकऱ्यांना संपूर्ण कर्जमाफी करावी यासह तालुक्यातील विविध ज्वलंत मागण्या संदर्भात तालुका काँग्रेस कमिटीच्या वतीने उपविभागीय अधिकाऱ्यांना निवेदन देण्यात आले आहे .
शेतकऱ्यांची संपूर्ण कर्जमाफी करावी ,उमरखेड शहरातील छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यांचा अश्वारूढ पुतळा शिवाजी चौकात तातडीने बसवावा, पिक विमा सरसकट शेतकऱ्यांना मिळावा ,शेतकऱ्यांचे कृषी पंपाचे थकीत व चालू विज बिल माफ करावे,छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज सन्मान योजनेत समाविष्ट असलेल्या तालुक्यातील 5456 पात्र शेतकऱ्यांची कर्जमाफी करावी ,जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंच्या वाढत्या किमती व महागाईवर नियंत्रण ठेवावे ,गजापूर विशाळगड जिल्हा कोल्हापूर येथील घटनेच्या निषेधार्थ ,उमरखेड शहर व तालुक्यातील प्रमुख रस्त्यांची झालेली दुर्दशा तातडीने दुरुस्ती करून दळणवळणासाठी सुरळीत करून जनतेला रस्ते सुविधा द्यावी ,अशा विविध समस्यांची शासनाने प्राधान्य क्रमाने सोडू नको करावी अशा असल्याचे निवेदन देण्यात आले .यावेळी तालुका काँग्रेस कमिटीचे अध्यक्ष दत्तराव शिंदे,बाळासाहेब चंद्रे पाटील, साहेबराव कांबळे, गोपाल अग्रवाल ,सोनू खतीब ,अमोल तुपेकर,श्रीराम वानखेडे ,सुभाष शिंदे ,भैया पवार ,सह अनेक काँग्रेसचे पदाधिकारी व कार्यकर्ते उपस्थित होते .
