महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश काँग्रेस कमिटी ओबीसी विभागाचे प्रदेश संघटक प्रा कैलास धर्मा राठोड हे हिंगोली लोकसभा निवडणूक लढविण्यासाठी इच्छुक असून त्यांनी आपला राष्ट्रीय काँग्रेस पक्षाकडून लोकसभा उमेदवारीसाठी विचार करावा यासाठी महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश काँग्रेस कमिटीचे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नाना पटोले यांना राष्ट्रीय काँग्रेसचे यवतमाळ जिल्हा अध्यक्ष प्रफुल मानकर, राष्ट्रीय काँग्रेसची हिंगोली जिल्हा अध्यक्ष दिलीप देसाई ,नांदेड जिल्हा अध्यक्ष गोविंदराव नागेलीकर यांच्या स्वाक्षरीचे पत्र देऊन आपला हिंगोली लोकसभा निवडणूक उमेदवारीसाठी विचार करावा यासाठी स्वतः प्राध्यापक कैलास राठोड यांनी काँग्रेसचे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नाना पटोले यांना निवेदन देत लोकसभेच्या उमेदवारीची मागणी केली आहे .
कैलास राठोड 2009 पासून काँग्रेस पक्षात कार्यरत आहेत नांदेड येथील राठोड कोचिंग क्लासेस च्या माध्यमातून एक लाखाहून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांना डॉक्टर इंजिनिअर व विविध क्षेत्रात अधिकाधिक अधिकारी घडविण्याचे कार्य त्यांनी केले 2012 मध्ये स्वामी रामानंद तीर्थ मराठवाडा विद्यापीठ नांदेड येथे सिनेटवर निवडून आले त्यानंतर त्यांच्या कार्याचा आढावा घेत 2012 मध्ये राष्ट्रपती स्वर्गीय प्रणव मुखर्जी यांच्या हस्ते राष्ट्रपती भवनात सन्मान करण्यात आला हिंगोली लोकसभा मतदारसंघात चार लाख चार लाखाहून अधिक बंजारा समाज असल्याने 70 टक्के ओबीसी समाज असल्याने प्राध्यापक कैलास राठोड हे निश्चितच विजयी होऊ शकते .
