ग्रामीण भागात आपल्या लेखनीने पत्रकारितेच्या क्षेत्रात सातत्याने कार्यरत राहून आपल्या निःस्वार्थ आणि परखड कार्य शैलीमुळे समाजमनावर आपला ठसा उमटवणारे एक सर्वसामान्य कुटुंबातून आलेल्या भागाजी शिवरतवाड यांनी जनतेच्या प्रश्नांना शासन-प्रशासनाच्या दरबारात पोहोचवून त्यांना न्याय मिळवून देण्याचे कार्य जे समर्पणाने केले, त्याचा परिणाम म्हणून आज अनेक सामान्य नागरिक त्यांना आपला विश्वासू मानतात.त्यांच्या पत्रकारितेतील निस्वार्थ कार्य, निर्भीडतेने प्रश्न मांडण्याची शैली आणि जनतेसाठी त्यांनी केलेले उल्लेखनीय योगदान पाहता, महा पोलिस चे संपादक श्री पंकेश जाधव पुणे यांनी त्यांच्या कार्याची दखल घेत त्यांना यवतमाळ चिफ ब्युरो पदाची जबाबदारी सोपवली. हे केवळ एक पद नाही, तर त्यांच्या कार्याला मिळालेला मोठा सन्मान आहे.या निवडीबद्दल यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यातून अनेक प्रशासकीय अधिकारी, शासकीय कर्मचारी आणि पत्रकार बंधू, राजकीय मंडळींनी त्यांचे अभिनंदन व शुभेच्छाचा वर्षेव होत आहे.
