उमरखेड : केंद्र शासनाने लागू केलेल्या हिट अँड रन या कायद्याचा देशभरात र्विरोध करण्यात येत आहे गेल्या आठवड्यात ट्रक चालकांनी संप पुकारत आंदोलन केले होते त्यावेळी कायदा लागू होणार नसल्याचे सांगण्यात आल्यानंतर ट्रकचालकांनी आंदोलन मागं घेतले होते पुन्हा ट्रक चालक व मालक आक्रमक झाले असून शहरातून जाणाऱ्या नागपूर – तुळजापूर (बोरी ) राष्ट्रीय महामार्गावरील ढाणकी रोड येथील उड्डाणपूल व शहरातील संजय गांधी चौक येथे चालक , मालक , ऑटो ,टिप्पर अशा अनेक वाहनाच्या जडवाहन चालक व मालकांनी दि ११ जानेवारीला स्टेरिंग सोडो आंदोलन करीत रास्ता रोको केला . या आंदोलनामुळे मोठ्या प्रमाणात वाहतूक कोंडी झाली होती ट्रक चालकांनी मागील आठवड्यात याच राष्ट्रीय महामार्गावर आंदोलन करणार होते परंतु हा कायदा तूर्ताच लागू होणार नाही अशी घोषणा केंद्र शासनाच्या वतीने करण्यात आली होती तेव्हा चालकांनी संप मागे घेतला होता मात्र आता पुन्हा केंद्र शासनाच्या नवीन समाधानकारक उत्तर न मिळाल्याने उमरखेड येथे चालक-मालक संघटनेच्या वतीने दि ११ जानेवारी रोजी येथील स्थानिक माहेश्वरी चौक व ढाणकी रोड येथील नागपूर -तुळजापूर बायपास वरील उड्डाणपूल जवळ स्टेरिंग सोडा आंदोलन करीत रास्ता रोको केला . यावेळी महामार्गाच्या दोन्ही बाजूला बराच वेळ प्रचंड वाहतूक कोंडी झाली होती पोलिसांनी आंदोलन करत्यांना समज देऊन मार्ग मोकळा करण्याचा काम केले .
नवीन हिट अँड रन कायद्याच्या विरोधात अनेक रिक्षा चालक देखील या आंदोलनात सहभागी झाले होते यामुळे आंदोलन पुन्हा पेटण्याची शक्यता वर्तवली जात आहे .
