मुंबई : मुंबई येथील लालबागचा राजा गणपती संबंधित वार्तांकन करण्यासाठी गेलेले पत्रकार ओळखपत्र आणि विशेष पास बाळगला असतानाही ‘एबीपी माझा’चे प्रतिनिधी अभिषेक मुठाळ यांना वृत्तांकनासाठी रोखून ठेवून अरेरावी भाषेचा वापर करणाऱ्या पोलीस निरीक्षकांचा प्रेस संपादक व पत्रकार सेवा संघातर्फे जाहीर निषेध करण्यात आला आहे. तसेच, पत्रकारांशी उद्धटपणे वागणाऱ्या पोलीस निरीक्षक संजय निकम यांना सेवेतून तात्काळ निलंबित करावे अशी मागणीही राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डी.टी. आंबेगावे यांनी लेखी निवेदनाच्या माध्यमातून राज्याचे गृहमंत्री दिलीप वळसे-पाटील आणि मुख्यमंत्री उद्धवजी ठाकरे यांना केली आहे.
कोरोना कालावधीत जीवावर उदार होऊन वृत्तांकन करत, आरोग्य व्यवस्थेचा उडालेला बोजवारा विविध बातम्यांद्वारे सार्वजनिक करून, कोरोना संबंधित उपचार यंत्रणा वेळीच सुव्यवस्थित करून घेतली. ज्यामुळे, अनेक कोरोना बाधितांचे प्राण वाचले आहेत. तर, लॉकडाऊन कालावधीत शासकीय यंत्रणेकडून सर्व सामान्य जनतेचा होणारा छळ जगासमोर आणण्यात पत्रकार आणि वृत्तसमूहांचा मोठा वाटा आहे. मात्र, तरीही पोलीस विभागाकडून मिळणारी अशाप्रकारची अपमानित करणारी वागणून कुठेतरी प्रसार माध्यमांवर पोलिसी बळाचा वापर करून राज्य शासन वृत्तसमूहांना नियंत्रित करू पाहत आहे का? असा प्रश्न निर्माण होत आहे.
प्रेस संपादक व पत्रकार सेवा संघ ही संघटना पत्रकारांवर होणाऱ्या हल्ल्याच्या विरोधात पूर्वीपासूनच आक्रमक पवित्रा घेत आहे. त्यामुळे, आज एबीपी माझाचे प्रतिनिधी अभिषेक मुठाळ यांना पोलीस निरीक्षक संजय निकम यांनी वृत्तांकनापासून रोखत ‘हात नाही तर पाय दोन्ही लावेल’ असे वक्तव्य करत केलेली धक्काबुक्की व उपस्थित महिला पत्रकाराला केलेली अर्वाच्य भाषा निषेधार्थ असल्याचे प्रखर मत संघटनेचे अध्यक्ष डी.टी. आंबेगावे यांनी व्यक्त केले आहे.
