यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यात अतिशय दुर्गम भागामध्ये कार्यरत असलेलेया इंटरनॅशनल आयकॉन पुरस्कार प्राप्त जिव्हाळा संस्था उमरखेड जि. यवतमाळ महाराष्ट्र राज्य सामाजिक कार्यात नेहेमी अग्रेसर असणाऱ्या कमी कालावधी मध्ये महाराष्ट्रातच नव्हे तर संपूर्ण भारत देशात आपल्या कर्तुत्वाचा ठसा उमटवणाऱ्या सामाजिक क्षेत्रा मध्ये मागील 10 वर्षा पासून महाराष्ट्रातील यवतमाळ, हिंगोली व नांदेड या जिल्ह्यामध्ये ग्रामीण व शहरी भागामध्ये महिला सक्षमीकरणाच्या माध्यमातून महिला व बाल विकास , स्वागत स्त्री जन्माचे (लेक वाचवा, लेक वाढवा, लेक शिकवा ) आरोग्य, शिक्षण, पर्यावरण, उपजीविका, जैवविविधता, कृषी व ग्रामविकास, मानवी हक्क, बालहक्क, बेरोजगारी, सिंचन, गाळमुक्त धरण, गाळयुक्त शिवार या शासनाच्या महत्त्वाकांक्षी अभियाना च्या माध्यमातून उमरखेड तालुक्यातील सात तलावातून गाळ उत्खनन करून शेतकरी बांधवाना मोफत गाळ वाटप केला आहे. त्या उत्खनना मुळे आज शेकडो लिटर जल साठा होऊन दुष्काळावर मात करण्यात संस्थेला फार मोठे यश प्राप्त झाले आहे. यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यात या अभियानात भरीव कार्यामुळे जिव्हाळा संस्था प्रथम पुरस्काराची मानकरी ठरली आहे. तसेच कोरोना ( कोविड 19 ) विषाणूच्या जीवघेण्या महामारीने मागील मार्च २०२० पासून संपूर्ण विश्वात थैमान घातले आहे. त्यामुळे केंद्र व राज्य शासनाने लॉकडाऊन जाहिर केला होता. लॉकडाऊन काळातील परिस्थितीने सर्वत्र वाताहत उद्भवली होती. आशा परिस्थित जीवन जगतांना समाजातील अतिशय गोर गरीब, गरजू, विधवा, दिव्यांग व शेतकरी आत्महत्याग्रस्त कुटुंब आदींचे आतोनात हाल होत होते. अशा भयावह परिस्थिती मध्ये जीवाची पर्वा न करता जिव्हाळा संस्थे ने असंख्य कुटुंबाना राशन व किराणा कीट, मास्क व वाटप, जनजागृती, पायदळी जाणाऱ्या मजुरांना नासता, पाणी व जेवण, रक्तदान शिबीर, जिव्हाळ्याची पाठशाला उपक्रमा अंतर्गत शालेय साहित्य वाटप व मोफत शिकवणी वर्ग, जिव्हाळ्याची गोड दिवाळी अतर्गत दिवाळी फराळ वाटप, जिव्हाळा मायेची ऊब या उपक्रमा अतर्गत शेकडो लोकांना ब्लॅंकेट वाटप, अनाथ मुलींच्या शिक्षणा साठी मदत, या सारखे अनेक उपक्रम संस्था अविरत पणे राबवीत आहे. समाजातील सर्व उपेक्षित घटकांसाठी अहोरात्र कार्य करणारी निस्वार्थ संस्था म्हणून नावलौकिक मिळविला आहे. या संस्थे ने सेवाभावी कार्यात 10 पूर्ण करून 11 व्या वर्षात यशस्वी पदार्पण करीत वर्धापन दिना निमित्य आप्पास्वामी देवस्थान मुळावा ता. उमरखेड येथे मुळावा परिसरातील कोरोना कोविड -19 आपत्ती काळात आपल्या जीवाची परवा न करता उलेखनीय कार्य केल्याबद्दल कर्तव्यावर असणाऱ्या आशा सेविका, अंगणवाडी सेविका, पोलीस पाटील, ग्रामपंचायत कर्मचारी आरोग्य कर्मचारी, पत्रकार बांधव व जिव्हाळा स्वयंसेवक यांचा “कोरोना योद्धा सन्मान सोहळा व संस्थेस वेळोवेळी दान देणाऱ्या दानशूर दात्यांचा सन्मान सोहळा आयोजित करण्यात येऊन सर्व मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते या सर्वांना “कोरोना योद्धा सन्मानपत्र व पुष्प गुच्छ सेऊन सन्मानित करण्यात आले. या प्रसंगी जिव्हाळा संस्थे चे अध्यक्ष अतुल लता राम मादावार यांनी जिव्हाळा संस्थे च्या मागील 10 वर्षा पासून चालू असलेल्या अविरत कार्यावर उजाळा घातला, या नंतर माजी अर्थ व बांधकाम सभापती तातू देशमुख यांनी आपल्या मनोगतातून सांगितले कि आज संस्थे चा वर्धापन दिन जिव्हाळा संस्था एवढ्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात उपेक्षित घटकांसाठी, महिलां व बालविकासा साठी अहोरात्र कार्य करते हि आपल्या गावासाठी विभागासाठी अभिमानाची गोष्ट आहे वर्धापन दिनी कोरोना आपती काळात ज्यांनी ज्यांनी उलेखनीय कार्य केल अश्या सर्व कोरोना योद्धाचा सन्मान केला. कोरोना योध्यांचा सन्मान म्हणजे माणुसकीचा सन्मान असे ते या वेळी म्हणाले त्या व संस्थे च्या कार्याविषयी तोंड भर कौतुक करून संस्थेस पुढील वाटचालीस शुभेच्छा दिल्या. या दिमाखदार सोहळ्याचे अध्यक्ष माजी आमदार विजयराव खडसे प्रमुख पाहुणे काँग्रेस चे नेते तातूभाऊ देशमुख, उमरखेड पंचायत समिती सभापती प्रज्ञानंद खडसे, तहसीलदार आंनद देऊळगावकर, नायब तहसीलदार सुधीर देशमुख, नायब तहसीलदार काशिनाथ ढगे, भद्रा अग्रो चे चेअरमन अश्विन कळलावे, नांदेड, विजय डूबेवार, मनोज उदावंत, रामराव जामकर, जीवन ठेंगे , चरण डोंगरे आदी उपस्थित होते. या कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन संदेश कांबळे यांनी केले तर आभार जिव्हाळा संस्थे च्या सलागार संगीता अतुल मादावार यांनी मानले. वर्धापनदिन यशस्वीते साठी जिव्हाळा संस्थे चे स्वयंसेवक विजय राठोड, संतोष जाधव, आकाश शिंदे, कपिल गायकवाड, प्रदुम्न वाघ यांनी पपरिश्रम घेतले.
